Under the supervision of the Senior Vice President of Underwriting, the Underwriting Project Manager will aid in the closing of an expanding portfolio of equity investments to be financed with Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (‘LIHTC’).
Job Duties
- Responsible for the closing of the tax credit investment
- Coordinates activities with other departments to ensure that they have the information necessary for their review and that any issues are resolved
- Responsible for a.) approving due diligence documents for accuracy and completeness, b.) organizing documents and maintaining internal closing checklist, and c.) distribution of documents to various departments
- Participates in deal closing calls
- Main company contact with the Federal Syndicator and Developer
- Reviews due diligence documentation, including, but not limited to, the partnership agreement and other legal documents
- Reviews pricing models for consistency with executed due diligence documents
Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree preferred
- Real estate and/or LIHTC industry experience is preferred
- Motivated and detail-oriented
- Proficient computer skills, especially Microsoft Office applications and financial spreadsheets
- Highly organized with effective analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work well with others in a team environment; able to work with colleagues remotely
- Proven strong verbal and written communication skills
