Under the supervision of the Director of Asset Management, this position will aid in the monitoring of an expanding portfolio of Gardner Capital development projects financed with both federal and state Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (‘LIHTC’).
The role of the Asset Manager will serve as the main representative of Gardner Capital during the operations of its tax credit developments. The duties of this Asset Manager position will be as follows:
Job Duties
- Assist Director of Asset Management in monitoring an expanding affordable housing development and syndication portfolio
- Assist in the collection of property level financial information and uploading into Gardner Capital Database
- Financial Analysis: evaluate and analyze property-level financial performance on a regular basis and identify areas of improvement for optimization of operations, cash flow, and property value
- Assist asset managers in monitoring development projects that are under construction
- Provide support for affordable development compliance reporting with investors and lenders
- Completes other asset management related projects as assigned
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Financial statement analysis, data analytics, accounting
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task efficiently and accurately
- Self-starter who is comfortable with both taking initiative and working in collaboration
Experience / Education
- A degree in Business, Accounting, Real Estate, Finance, or other related degree.
- 1-3 years experience in Real Estate, Finance, Accounting
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Adobe and SharePoint; and Smartsheet preferred
- Detail-oriented
